HOW TO MAXIMISE THE POTENTIAL OF A SEED – PART 2

Find the right soil condition to plant your seed
Matthew 13:3-9
3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow
his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds
came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It
sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the
plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed
fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on
good soil, where it produced a crop–a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was
sown. 9 He who has ears, let him hear.”

Each seed grow in different soil condition. It is the responsibility of the farmer to
know the best soil condition for his crops and plant them in it.
From the above scripture we can see that it is where you place your seed that
determines the outcome of the seed.
The sower went to plant the same seed.
All the seed have the same potential but the soil condition/location determined
their level of productivity.

So you cannot afford to plant your seed in any soil because there are different
kinds of soil. Every seed has the suitable condition that would enable it to
maximise its potential.
No seed can maximise its potential in an unfavourable soil condition.
While it is true that God has given you a seed, you have to find the right soil
condition to plant your seed for it to grow and produce maximum harvest.

For example:
your gifts and talents will not flourish in a place where people don’t believe in
you.
Jesus could do no mighty works in his hometown because they did not believe in
him. You don’t invest your money in a business you don’t believe in.
For any seed to grow, the condition must be right.

Q, Are you investing your talents, gifts and resources in the right place ?

Q, what radical step do you need to take for a change?

1 Corinthians 15:33 do not be deceived, bad company corrupts good character.

Solution:
In humility, Seek much advice from those who have succeeded in your desired
field.
Even if you think you know better.

Why advice?
-The successful persons have walked the journey and understand the hows
better.
-Also because the wisest man(Solomon) repeatedly appeals for advice to success.

Scriptures for further study:
Isaiah 55:10 – As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not
return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it
yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

Personal declaration for the day:
Lord, help me recognise the seed you have given me and plant it in the right soil
condition
